About India

India, officially the Republic of India, is the seventh-largest country by land area and the second-most populous country, home to over 1.3 billion people. It is located in South Asia and is bordered by Pakistan to the northwest, China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the north, and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. To the south, it is bounded by the Indian Ocean.
